A Night In Muzdalifah

A night in Muzdalifah.

It was one of the most beautiful nights in my life.

Reda Kenawy, our group leader, was discussing something at that night.

We filled our day by praying in Arafah, and listening to khutbah. It was hot there, but it was so cool and peaceful inside. There were some events when I found the "real character" of human being as they were in their daily life. Many things happened. For example, I found someone from my country but not from our Japanese group, took water and food which were not his right to take. His face showed us that he is not uneducated. His face looked so intellectual, clean, and rich, but really what he did was very embarrasing. I was crying to see that. Not because he stole something from our group, but because it was so embarrasing to find what he did.

Sky was above us. A beautiful night in Muzdalifah, by my shutter.

Now, I understand, why my country is still undeveloped: It is because people were like him. How can someone like him to be accountable if he were on top of government?

However, I do not want to tell more in detail because what I found on that day was only that all people I met were smiling to me, and they showed their loves to me. I do not want to loose the memory of love and beautiful things I found during my journey. If possible, I wanted to be always on that day. After sunset, we moved to Muzdalifah, prayed Maghrib and Isya, then stayed the whole night in Muzdalifah under the sky . . . . Most hajj were just staying for a while in Muzdalifah, but our group was staying all night long.

Peaceful night by my eyes.

It was very beautiful night. Sky was above me. Half moon was there above my eyes. I was sleeping all night long peacefully. I was ready to die at that time . . . . Inside my heart, there was only love and peace. I was with the universe. I felt peaceful universe inside me . . . . Allahu Akbar.

You have given us a pretty good insight of the magnitude and beauty of the Hajj. Your photos are fantastic. Your sincerity allowed you to take pictures when even the guards prohibit you!

Your photos mare great improvement over the ones you took at the Berlin gate and CheckpointCharlie.
